Which Road Will You Choose?

Matthew 7:13-14  Enter through the narrow gate!  Because the gate is wide- and the way is broad- that leads to destruction, and there are many who may enter in through it.  Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed (difficult) which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

In the above text we see that Yahoshua gave us the Illustration of the two roads we have in this life we live.  The 1st was Broad and the 2nd was narrow.  Now there are many church leaders who will teach that the denomination they belong to is the road that will lead you to the TRUTH!  I'm here to tell you that the only way to the TRUTH is in the Holy bible.  Many of us have been taught that our salvation lies in the hands of the man in the (PULL PIT), but I want you to put away all the things that you have heard in the Church, Sun-Day School, etc... and for the sake of Salvation let's focus on the word of Yah and why he sent his Son to die for us as well as his purpose for coming to this earth.

Ezekiel 18:20-21; 23;25;30-32  The being (soul) who sins shall die.  The son shall not bear the crookedness of the father, nor the father bear the crookedness of the son.  The righteousness of the righteous is upon himself, and the wrongness of the wrong is upon himself.  But the wrong, if he turns from all his sins which he has done, and he shall guard all My laws, and shall do right-ruling and righteousness, he shall certainly live, he shall not die.

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wrong? declares Yahwah.  Is it not that he should turn from his ways, and live?

We see here that it does not please Yah for the wrong to die without repentance. Let's continue at verse 25

"And you said, The way of Yahwah is not right."  Hear now, O house of Yisra'el, is My way not right?  Is it not your ways that are not right?

And the house of Yisra'el have said, The way of Yahwah is not right.  Are my ways not right, O house of Yisra'el?  Is it not your ways that are not right?  Therefore I judge you, O house of Yisra'el, every one according to his ways, declares Yahwah.  Repent and turn back from all your transgressions, and let not crookedness be a stumbling block to you.

Cast away from you all the transgression, by which you have transgressed and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.  For why should you die, O house of Yisra'el?

For I have no pleasure in the death of the one who dies, declares Yahwah.  So turn back and live!

It doesn't get much deeper that that Y'all!  Will you repent and get on the Narrow road which leads to life or Will you stay out on the broad road with the rest of the world and continue to sin and do things that are displeasing to the Most High?  As I stated earlier Yah sent his son to us for a reason.

John 3:16-17  For Elohim so loved the world that he gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For Elohim did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world through him might be saved.

Now there are many church leaders who teach that all you have to do is believe and you can enter into the kingdom of Yah, but lets look at verse 36.

He who believes in the son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not OBEY the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim remains on him.

Whoa!  Verses 36 tell us not only are we to believe in the Son but we must also obey him.  How are we to obey the Messiah what did he teach and how did he live his life on earth?

Well the 1st thing Yahoshua taught after being tempted by Satan was Repent, for the reign of the heavens has drawn near.  Some of us have even been taught that Yahoshua did away with the law and we don't have to keep the law anymore!

Is that really what the Messiah taught?

Matthew 5:17  Do not think that I came to destroy the law or the Prophets.  I did not come to destroy but to complete.

The law was not complete until Yahoshua came in the flesh to show us how to live because without the law how can we know what sin is?   Sin is defined as (lawlessness) Sound familiar doesn't it.

Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone who says to Me, Master, Master, shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens.   Many shall say to me in that day Master, master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?

And then I shall declare to them, I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work (practice) lawlessness!

So what is lawlessness? Not keeping the 7th day Sabbath, Substituting the Father's true name with a Pagan one (LORD), and his Son's true name with a Pagan one (Jesus/Je-Hail/sus-Zeus) Not keeping the dietary law i.e. eating unclean animals not observing the biblical holy days (Leviticus 23) but keeping Pagan Holidays like Christmas, Easter, and Halloween basically doing everything Yah said not to do.

See the teaching of today's church leaders is what will keep us on the broad road If we don't search the scriptures for ourselves and pray to Yah in Yahoshua's name and ask him to give us a better understanding of his word.  The church today is all about hearing the word of Yah but nobody wants to do it.  Some say it's impossible to keep all those laws that's why the Messiah nailed them to the cross, but did he really nail the law to the cross or was it the animal sacrifices that he took out of this world.  Remember his blood was shed for or sins!

Colossians 2:14  having blotted out the certificate of debt against us by the dogmas which stood against us.  And he has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the stake.

Christians use this verse to say that the law was nailed to the cross. But the law was never against us.  Again I say how can we know sin without the law.  At any rate  in order to be counted worthy to enter into the kingdom to come we have to walk on that narrow road even if it means leaving family and friends behind on the broad road.  Trust me I know that that road is very difficult to walk but the Messiah said in Matthew

Matthew 10:35-37 for I have come to bring division, a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law and a man's enemies are those of his own household.

He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of Me, and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of Me.

Now theses verses didn't mean for us not to love your family at all. Yahoshua meant that if you worry about what they may think or if you decide to follow truth they would look at you differently then YOU are not worthy of him.  Don't be discouraged because Yahoshua laid down his life so that we might live as long as we obey him.  By obeying the Messiah we are able to enter the narrow gate.

Grace and Peace in Yahoshua

Shalom
